Is Hockey president Tayyab Ikram collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal commissions from the Olympic Solidarity fund?

The corruption allegations against the president of the Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH) are serious and bizarre. The case affects not only the FIH, but also OCA, as well as the IOC's core business: Olympic Solidarity. And here, as with several other IFs, the IOC is not taking action.

The articles about the apparently corrupt hockey president Tayyab Ikram were actually only intended for paying subscribers. However, as there is now such great interest in these topics in India, I am making the articles available for a few days – to read the articles, all you have to do is signing-up to the (free) newsletter. I hope you enjoy reading them and gain some valuable insights!

Let's get straight to the point. The year is coming to an end, you are all very busy, some of you are already in holiday mode. And yes, in a way this is a Season's Greetings message. Today field hockey, tomorrow another Olympic international federation (IF), stay tuned. And in the new year I'll be back with more exclusives, both big and small. Because Olympic cheats never take a break – it's always peak season for them.

So let's talk about Tayyab Ikram, who has passports from Pakistan and Macau, has been president of the FIH since 2022, where he was recently reconfirmed in office (I would not call that election) until 2032 even (!), and has been a member of the IOC's Olympic Solidarity Commission for an eternity, among other things. Who knows, maybe he even hopes to become an IOC member ex officio as IF president.

Further allegations of corruption against India’s Olympic lobbyist Tayyab Ikram
The IOC and the International Hockey Federation (FIH) have been protecting Tayyab Ikram, the dubious Olympic wheeler-dealer, for many years. New allegations also weigh heavily on India’s bid for the 2036 Olympic Games, where Ikram is allegedly cashing in as a lobbyist in a variety of ways.

So, how would you react, dear reader, if a former IOC member, a former NOC president and a former president of an Olympic IF is reporting the following …

… the letter below (and 15 additional letters) was sent by Narinder Druhv Batra to IOC President Thomas Bach, IOC Director General Christophe De Kepper, IOC Directors James Macleod (NOC Relations) and Kit McConnell (Sports); David Luckes (Associate Director Summer Sports and International Federation Relations), Jérôme Poivey (Head of Institutional Relations and Governance); and the entire FIH Executive Board and all national field hockey federations.

A slightly abridged summary, without any corrections from my side:

Germany's Olympic bid and the DOSB: fundamental disputes, disregard for parliament, incompetence, waste of money, irresponsibility and madness

Next week, I will provide German readers with exclusive background information on the Olympic bid. Since dubious websites such as Insidethegames are spreading unsorted nonsense, a mixture of propaganda and AI hallucinations, I'm offering the English-speaking audience a brief summary in the meantime.
