Documentation: how the IOC is trying to kill the World Olympians Association

The World Olympians Association (WOA) is not the first organisation that the IOC has dissolved or arranged to be dissolved. In autumn 2022, the more important GAISF was killed off – the trail led to the IOC headquarters. The WOA case is much better documented. Read the most important correspondence!

"Despite the difficult past few years, and especially the very trying last few months since that vote by our NOA members last October to remain active and independent, despite the lack of engagement of the current IOC administration and despite all the inaccuracies, misinformation and actions of the current IOC administration, WOA remains steadfast in its belief that a collaborative, respectful partnership with the IOC is in the best interest of the entire Olympic Movement, and most importantly, the Olympians we both serve. Where to start? Perhaps with these figures: The IOC has provided an average of $645,774 in funding to the World Olympians Association (WOA), which represents tens of thousands of former Olympic athletes, over the past few years (2018-2023).

Let's put that into perspective with the annual salaries (2023) of IOC directors that appear in this article and in the documents:
